This is still happening, yet no-one else seems to be bothered by it in the least, which I find strange. Surely, someone from Opera can read this forum and communicate about this issue. If you want more information, you have only to ask and I will try to provide what I can.

Google local storage persistingOpera for Mac
Despite running cookie settings as a whitelist (and Google is NOT on it), it is adding a persistent local storage object. I delete it and it comes right back. I tried specifically blocking Google and it still happens. This looks very suspiciously like a privacy flaw. I'm disappointed in you, Opera, for letting this through. If people wanted to be tracked by Google, they would use Chrome.

RE: VPN downloads fail (still)Opera for Mac
THIS IS STILL EXTANT, PEOPLE AT OPERA.
Downloads either fail virtually immediately and refuse to restart or they stop regularly and have to be restarted.
When are you going to fix this major flaw with your key feature? If it's SurfEasy's fault, shout loudly until it sorts it out.

That's called thread hijacking. Please start a new thread to get you issue addressed.

VPN downloads fail (still)Opera for Mac
VPN downloads are still failing. This has been extant in some form since mid-June and the only thing which has changed is that now they are repeatedly described as "interrupted: file incomplete". Most servers will allow them to be continued, but not all.
This happens to all files (of any type, as long as they are large enough to take more than a couple of minutes to download). The exception is that any files for which there is no time estimate will complete as expected.
Please fix this, and properly this time, so that the one really good reason to use Opera instead of Firefox actually works.

RE: Downloading problemOpera for Mac
Still not working properly. Different, but not fixed.
Downloads become "interrupted" every few minutes, at random percentages and MBs. Resuming works, but has to be done several times for an average file.

RE: Downloading problemOpera for Mac
Today's update has not included a fix for this. I'm increasingly convinced that Opera's developers should be asking questions at SurfEasy. The fault must lie there.
Yes, this is all free, of course. But your users are your reason for existing, so what have you left if people ditch Opera because its key feature does not work? Just a Chrome-alike.

jeanaymard: I don't think that installing on older version would help. For one thing, this seemed to occur between updates. For another, using older versions of browsers is rarely safe.
kmielczarczyk: Is there any movement on this issue? The only reason for using Opera in favour of other browsers is lost if it does not work!

RE: Downloading problemOpera for Mac
I have had this problem since around 19/20 June. Downloads are announced as complete, but the files are small and, of course, corrupted.
If Opera cannot estimate the completion time, so it only shows a solid progress bar and the KB downloaded thus far, it will complete just fine. But when the progress can be measured and a time estimated, it will fail.
The size and percentage varies, it seems. Usually, it's around 10-12MB most often for me.
I cannot try Opera on anything other than Macs, but it happens on all my computers, even with a clean new installation and mostly default settings.
I have sent a bug report, but had no feedback.
