If I stop and then restart a video, there is a very loud pop through the speakers every video restart. The pop is so loud, even with the system output volume at about 10%, that I fear it may damage the speakers.

This started, I think, two updates ago, not sure.
(I am now current on Opera release 66.0.3515.44.)

I checked all the usual suspects before posting this plus, restart the machine, reload drivers, check for audio effect maybe having got turned on, etc. I have run videos in Microsoft Edge and Chrome and they produce no pop. It is only Opera and only recently.
I am current with all Windows updates.
