Hello,
I recently formatted my PC and I'm trying to recover my synced passwords through Opera Sync.
My Opera account was created using "Continue with Google", so I have never created an Opera account password. I have always signed in using my Google account.
Now, Opera asks me to enter my account password in order to access my synced passwords. Since my account was created through Google, I don't have an Opera password to enter.
I searched this forum and found several posts where users with a similar issue were advised to use the "Forgot password" option to create or reset their Opera password. However, when I try to do that, the authentication page always fails and displays the following message:
"Something went wrong while trying to validate token."
Because of this error, I can't create an Opera password, and without one I can't access my synced passwords, even though I can still sign in to my Opera account using Google.
Has anyone experienced this issue, or is there another way to set a password for a Google Sign-In account so I can regain access to my synced passwords?
Thank you.
