Yes, I hope since the first release of ChromiumOpera in 2013 that it will come back. They implemented two new gestures in the latest build but not this, there are working gestures for Firefox+Chrome and it was so great in Opera12. I gonna try Vivaldi soon and will leave Opera probably if they stay that slow with improvement.

Thanks, but this works not at all for me. The Extension dosent work on new tabs/SpeedDail-tabs and gets distracted with minimal mouse movement.

No extension of the GoogleChrome Extension Store works. Smooth Gestures Plus, Tab Wheel Scroll, miniGestures, crxMouse Chrome Gestures, Gestures for Google Chrome, and more. All of them do not recognize the Tabs with operaSpeedDial as a Tabs, most of them are poorly done and unusable, and many of them dont work at all.

If someone find one that works would be great. Firefox has a working extension called FireGesture but it is only for firefox.
Opera has to add this gesture again.

For the new speed dial set opera://flags/#experimental-start-page on activated. But I can't find another way than to open the website, click the top-right-heart and change the thumbnail for speed dial and bookmark in the pop-up. Maybe someone knows a way to change multiple new speed dial thumbnails at once.

Using the 'Download Chrome Extension' you can install Chrome extensions in Opera. Give that a try.

Please write and explain more. So you have the old speed dial with thumbnails showing website-Address-text and you want the new speed dial with an image from the website as thumbnail?

Please bring back the gesture to hold down the right mouse button and scroll through the tabs with the mouse wheel like in Opera12.
There are Extension who should provide that gesture but they do not work. You just released some more mouse gestures to open links in a new tab or window or in a background tab. But why not that important one? Firefox has that gesture already by default, GoogleChrome has working extensions. Come on Opera. I read and wrote about this request already more than 7 months ago.

Just updated to Opera 29 stable and I cannot find again how to revert the modern look of speed dial thumbnails. Anyone?

I hope the mouse wheel gesture "hold right mouse button + scroll wheel" to switch between tabs will come back. There is no well-working extension for it. Also wish for Opera Mail and RSS-Feed-Reader and a option to write down notes.

I still miss the wheel gesture from Opera 12 to switch the tabs: Hold right mouse button + move wheel.
Addons from the GoogleChrome Store and Opera Extensions don't work or don't work well.

Will the gesture come back at any time?

I don't want to use the keyboard command Ctrl+Tab or click on it to switch the tab.
