@mbaluta Here is a user, who dont't like it, cause I want to look at my open tabs and not everytime to close the new tab first! I also dont't like the automatically refresh of the open tabs!

Don't you think, that the new Automatic mode could be exactly the right one for those non-technical users, and those who are worried about their data usage could change the mode manually? And it could be helpful if the progress bar changed the color to see that the mode changes ( as it was in Vers. 10 or 11 ).

Sure, it happens at amazon.com, ebay.com, booking.com and other I don't remember at the moment. But all of them work fine in Vers.7.64 where exists only Extreme mode. I think developers should explain why the mode changes unwanted in all newer versions since at least 19. And they'll certainly have a list with the correspondending sites.

Now i tested the newest beta version 24.0.2254.115517. I set extreme mode, images off, went to ebay.de and what happened? Opera Mini changed to high mode! Images were shown, much data traffic. So the Automatic browsing mode is not to disable. Is it a bug or is it intention?

Why does that matter???

You can try it easy with any earlier version: Set extreme mode , turn images off and go to ebay.com. You'll see images, cause you can't turn them off in high mode, java will work, and please have a look at data usage (1mb more, instead 100kb more in extreme mode ).Then go to another site and it will change back to extreme mode .

@leocg Sorry, i meant changing between extreme and high mode. It happens at all versions cince 20. I didn't test the new beta, but what does it mean "according to the situation" and where is the different to other versions?

Why does opera Mini change from high mode to normal mode at more and more websites (ebay Amazon, booking, trivago etc) without warning?
I believe the developers have forgotten the reason why we use opera mini. To save traffic!
By this senseless function, opera mini becomes soon useless.
If you have a limited data volume of 200 MB per month, surfing on these websites can easily consume 10 percent of this volume in a single day!
So I changed back to the old version 7.64.
There (and also at the uc mini) are no such problems. At Uc mini the user can decide for himself whether he wants to change the mode and does not have to bear any unintentional renewals of the opened tabs.

I don't want a automatic opening of a new tab, that I have to close each time! Please make it possible to disable these functions.
And please insert a switcher to turn on/off images like in Mini 7 but also in "high mode".

There is a bug since Vers.17. Sometimes when I open an old tab, only a blank site is shown. Then I push any button - nothing happens and after 5 seconds Opera Mini crashes. After re-opening it works fine.

But if you have much saved pages, it also would be very helpful if you could create folders, like you can do in "bookmarks".

In mainmenu it would be easier to have a switcher to turn images on/off and in submenu the option to set the image quality.
And why isn't there any option in "high mode" to turn off images?
This option would allow a lot of data saving.

I saved 27 pages at older beta versions. Now I installed the beta 18 and 11 of them don't open anymore, but they are still on the list of saved pages.

I think, most users ( like me )have much more then 10 pages saved. So it would be very helpful, if one could sort them free. In Vers.10 of opera mini this was possible.
I also would like to copy some saved pages to pc cause i have no internet connection at pc. To do this, i have currently to use the " old " opera browser. It saves pages as mht. But this is a very awkward way.

Sometimes when clicking a link in extreme mode , the actual site loads again and again until i delete the cookies.

Is there really any data saving in "High mode "?

Cause on my connection (Asus fonepad 7) is displayed the full data traffic without any saving, when using "High mode ".

But in "Extreme mode" it's displayed the value with data saving, like it's displayed in opera's menu bar.

Please insert the button "Images out" also in High mode. It would save more data usage.

Since Version 11, it's impossible to sort saved pages, but this is absolutely essential if you have many pages saved. The best way would be, you could create folders just like it's possible in bookmarks.
