does'nt matter now, Thunderbird has picked up the task where Opera Mail could'nt.

I have my own IMAP email server so I know that my email is configured correctly and the credentials are correct. After the latest Opera Mail update Most messages don't get sent they stay in the Outbox. I have uninstalled / reinstalled Opera Mail but to no avail.
Has anyone had this issue?
