Thanks.
If it happens again I'll know how to fix it.

Opera has suddenly 'misplaced' all my bookmarks and the whole bookmarks bar.
I've been into flag: opera and the bar is 'enabled', even though it's clearly not.
I think this happened after a dialogue appeared up there asking me if I wanted to participate in browser/usage feedback or something. Well here's my feedback Opera: return my bookmarks, please.
Version: 19.0.1326.47 - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows 7 32-bit
I have the latest Opera, there's no bookmarks bar. I've just taken some screenshots to verify it. If you'd like to see them, let me know.
I will, at some point have a look at forcing the bar through the flag thing. Thanks for letting me know.
Like everything else in Opera, 'Quick Access Bar' is absent from the Help.
If someone from Opera is reading this (unlikely) please note there is a convention in the software industry known as a Beta-release. If you really want to inflict half-built software on unsuspecting users and drive them away for ever to another browser, at least warn them first.
Thankyou terribly. I was joking with my other half about having to downgrade to Opera 12 and then up to Opera 18, it's scary to see it's not actually a joke.
Can someone please tell me what Opera has done with bookmarks.
I have crossgraded from Firefox and bookmarks don't seem to exist in Opera. They don't exist in the help, on the forums, on the web. They don't exist in the Settings panel.
Please tell me I've missed something incredibly obvious.
And in case it needs to be mentioned 'Bookmark Importer' is greyed out. I do notice a mention of converting bookmarks to speed-dial, but if the Importer is inoperative, well....

Each tab runs in a separate process.
Bookmarks are fine, if you can manage with just the Bookmarks Bar. Organise them well into folders and subfolders — up to 2000 shouldn't be any problem.
12.16 will probably receive security updates if they are needed.
I say install it and use it alongside 12.16 while you evaluate it.
Where is the bookmarks bar? Why is it not visible, why is it not mentioned in the opera help? I cannot find any reference to bookmarks anywhere. Please help me find it. Opera provides no way I can see to import bookmarks from Firefox.
And there are no replies to my request for help with bookmarks in the Newbies thread. Why the eerie silence?
