Do you have Opera Turbo turned on (Menu: Opera -> Opera Turbo)? If so, turn it off. It's only beneficial on very slow internet connections, and might slow you down or cause problems when you're on a fast internet connection.
If you don't, tell us a bit more about one site where you see the problem, and we can probably check what's happening.
