When I am using this and other video downloaders on other browsers, I also have adBlock Plus and uBlock Origin running. In the past few years, I have only had a virus/malware issue once or twice, and each time, the video downloader I was using (I have three) would alert me that the file contains malware, and it then deletes the file.

I would recommend that you install both adBlock Plus and uBlock Origin and see if the virus/malware issue goes away.

Just downloaded a video with this extension. I can't say I liked the experience, as I have yet to find the video I downloaded. I will be removing this extension as soon as I press Post.

I was actually wondering the same thing as well!

I keep all of my Internet-related programs in a folder inside the Applications folder, which, in a fit of creativity, I named "Internet Stuff." With a normal installer, I would simply drag Opera to the appropriate folder and it's installed.

With this non-standard installer, I had to move the file out of the Applications folder and into the "Internet Stuff" folder, replacing the one that was already there.

It's not a lot of work, but the Mac is all about the "look and feel" thing, and that installer doesn't look or feel like a Mac installer.
