compress all imagesOpera Max
I know opera Max doesn't compress low quality images, but what counts as low quality. I am using apps which Max doesn't compress most of it's images. the app processes many images as it is a gallery app but the images aren't compressed. it also doesn't use any form of encryption and the server is easily accessible from a browser.can't Max compress all images except icons and images with low pixels.
the application downloads the images and then views them. -

Turbo compression rate is quite low. I am on 88% on mini and 12% on Turbo.

Turbo has some drawbacks, since it uses server based compression. also opera browser has a fully functional rendering engine, ie chromium, and thus has full support for web based apps and features. I think Turbo was added due to many requests for support for advance JavaScript and HTML 5 support. anyway ios opera mini has Turbo, mini and uncompressed mode, so why shouldn't android get them.

Turbo mode has native video playback support. just streamed a video from YouTube, and it was so fast.

swipe down to refresh doesn't work in Turbo. also fonts size increases when in Turbo. Refresh swipe works just fine.
... on Feeds page.
Well the feeds page does not seem to be different from mini mode. As feeds don't even work on opera browser, it may be using mini mode for that.

does opera mini beta have a rendering engine for Turbo mode.
Your native browser does, in my case Chrome 30. With Nexus devices you may have a cutting-edge browser.
I was wondering, the old mini, uses already rendered pages from the server and just views them, but now with Turbo, the rendering should be done on phone, in the browser. Other browsers, including opera mobile, use a lot of ram on my device, so if Turbo on mini get improved, it will be my main browser

I have found a bug, when switching from Turbo to mini, all pages loaded after become blank(appears completely white)
anyways due to the pages being rendered on the phone in Turbo mode, server cookies cookies used in mini are not used. this means we need to relogin to sites again when in Turbo mode. is there anyway you can make Turbo use Mimi's server cookies.

opera link is no longer supported on opera mini as of version 8. to get your bookmarks ported, install v7.5, sync and then install v8. it will import all old bookmarks and speed dial to the new version. then login to your opera account and sync.

all that you say is impossible, and it has been impossible from the time opera mini first launched. mini uses a server side compression, so all items that aren't HTML, CSS or passive JavaScript are removed and sent to your phone, and your phone views it. your phone is just a viewer and cannot directly affect the compression (except for things like fonts ).let's think of it like this, mini cannot have web based features unless the server is modified to do those things.as for UC browser, it is nowhere like opera. it includes it's own rendering engine( u3 kernel) and does most of it processing on the phone. that is why it's saved pages can be viewed on other browsers. the server only compresses data without removing anything and the item that can't be compressed aren't compressed. that is why it can features that can use web based features like flash and others.
the experts here can correct me if there are any mistakes. I am a nobody at this.

just downloaded it. the text box bugs still remains, apart from that i dont have any problems with the ui. but i wished it migrated my cookies and saved logins and password from the new updated opera mini, as i now have to reenter my login to any site that i have an account with.
the gestures are okay. since the reload button is far from my left hand, so i have become used to swiping down to reload.
new gestures could be added.
also add copy option for text in a text box. only "select text" and paste are available. so now i have to enter th textbox and use the normal select and copy method on android.it would be nice if i could quickly copy all text in a box by just long pressing it and select copy.

RE: Opera Mini 8 beta 7 for AndroidOpera Mini
add a "copy" option for text box selection in long-press menu, this will make it easier to copy full text in text boxes.

text box is misplaced. anytime i try typing in a text box,it move away from it original place and appears far below. it then resumes its position when you tap elsewhere or shift the page.
also, grid view for saved pages heavily truncates page name. on my phone, i only see te firt 12 or so characters, and the rest is "...". most page have more than that in their title.could you make an option , so one n view it in list form, or to a page similar to bookmarks.
