I am guessing that an app that has Savings enabled uses Opera's VPN servers, while an app that has Savings disabled does not use Opera's VPN servers.

1. Assuming the Savings tab is what causes an app to use the server side of Opera Max app, could one continue to use the app to block apps from using data by moving all apps out of the Savings tab, even after the server side support is gone?
2. What are alternatives for the app-specific data blocking feature?
