Still struggling with Opera updates which do not work....any help appreciated

As others have observed, this seems to be the automatic problem when attempting update, but if the browser is left open, a few minutes later, the update succeeds and Relaunch appears. Must be some way to correct this issue?

My extension tabs, such as WOT, and Pocket, insist on automatically
opening upon starting Opera. Have tried everything but can't get
this to stop. Anyone have a solution? Thanks
