I think i found the issue. I had an extension that makes windows always open in the same window (to avoid popups opening in their own window). the extension is not for opera but for any browser. i assume it was reading some of the other workspaces as if they're not in the main window and was moving them there when i opened opera. ihave disabled the extension and so far no issues. will update if the issue continues, but for now, it seems to have solved it. such a relief and makes sense that its not opera itself, as i had reinstalled and deleted my opera folder etc.

@Digitt I thought that issue had already been fixed.
nope, it is still persisting. not sure what else to do. it happens sporadically but most of the time when I use opera, my tabs are moving and its very hard to stay organised

@Digitt What version of Opera One?
thanks. was using 124.0.5705.42 but i just got the latest update to 124.0.5705.65
Chatgpt also advised i sync everything except tabs, so i did that and so far not seeing an issue, but it always happened sporadically. so i will see if it persists.

RE: Ability to rearrange sidebar appsSuggestions and feature requests
@aashokkumarsharma said in Ability to rearrange sidebar apps:
The ability to rearrange the built-in apps (Messengers, AI services, etc.) in the Opera sidebar is currently not available, as their order is largely fixed by the browser's design. This is a crucial feature request for users who need to prioritize their workflow. The current best workaround is to use the Settings menu (opera://settings/sidebar) to toggle off the services you don't use, which reduces clutter and focuses attention on your preferred apps.
yes I know, thank you. This was a feature request. It would be great to have this as a feature in future.

tabs keep moving between workspacesGeneral
I'm on MacOS, whenever I open opera, my tabs I've put in various workspaces usually move to the first workspace. It seems to happen randomly. I've tried everything, removing opera and reinstalling. Making a new account to sync from, still get the same issues.
Does anyone else have this issue? and what can i do to solve it?

Ability to hide icons like snapshot on the address barSuggestions and feature requests
I don't use snapshot, pinboards, and even the easy setup icons on the address bar. Would be nice to have the option to hide them. It's extra clutter that is distracting for me.

RE: Discord as a Sidebar MessengerSuggestions and feature requests
@gravitytale +1 on this.
ps: you can add custom site panels if you enable experiments https://forums.opera.com/topic/47330/solved-how-to-add-sites-to-sidebar/2
but it then shows at the bottom. would love to be able to drag those panels to be underneath whatsapp etc.

Safari style compact tabs (or ability to hide address bar)Suggestions and feature requests
I feel the address bar uses up alot of real estate on the screen. Would love to either have it show up inside the tab itself like safari's compact tabs (click on the current tab to expand it into an address bar).
https://www.laptopmag.com/how-to/switch-to-compact-tabs-on-safari
Or if this isn't gonna sit well with users, I'd love to have the address bar have an option to be hidden and dynamically show only when hovering at the top of the screen, in the same way it works with the sidebar currently.
