RE: TampermonkeyOpera add-ons
@AK-99 Same as above, Tampermonkey's manifest requires Chrome 120 and above. So the opera store should not update to 5.3.6222 at Opera GX (which is based on Chromium 112). Otherwise this is a bug.
If you want to install Tampermonkey at Opera GX, then please install Tampermonkey Legacy from the Chrome Web store.

RE: How can I re-enable a blacklisted extension?Opera add-ons
@filbo said in How can I re-enable a blacklisted extension?:
BTW @derjanb you said the Opera 'store' edition would update alongside the Firefox edition, about every 3mo.
I'm currently updloading new opera versions since January but until today there was no review yet.
I just pinged the reviewers again... -
RE: why?Tampermonkey blockedOpera add-ons
Malware "may be utilizing an extension like Tampermonkey to facilitate the injection of ads or other malicious behavior. This does not mean that Tampermonkey is malicious, but rather that a malicious program is utilizing a legitimate program for bad behavior."
Opera store and Chrome Webstore BETA versions are not affected.

RE: Tampermonkey Chrome extension blockedOpera add-ons
@tarkus It'll be updated with the Firefox (stable) version, which means at least every 3 month or so.

RE: Tampermonkey Chrome extension blockedOpera add-ons
The Tampermonkey Opera update to version 4.8.5890 was unlocked by Opera. So you now can also use the Opera version: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/tampermonkey-beta/

RE: Tampermonkey Chrome extension blockedOpera add-ons
This post shows how to re-enable Tampermonkey. -> https://forums.opera.com/post/162138
Then please export your scripts (with script storage) and install Tampermonkey BETA from the Chrome Web Store. It is not blacklisted (at the moment).

I already contacted the review team via my Opera extension developer account and they are saying, that they have a reasonable suspicion that Tampermonkey is also distributed by some malware. I'll update the Opera version as soon as possible.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

RE: How can I re-enable a blacklisted extension?Opera add-ons
Hi, thanks for finding a way to re-enable Tampermonkey. Once the scripts are exported you can also install Tampermonkey BETA from the Chrome Web Store since it is not blacklisted (at the moment).

I have no idea why Tampermonkey is considered to be malicious. I guess some algorithm wet wild.
I already contacted the review team via my Opera extension developer account. Hopefully they can tell me more about this issue.https://github.com/Tampermonkey/tampermonkey/issues/635
