sgunhouse -- got it, thanks. On mine, Shift+Right Arrow opens all threads; Shift+Left Arrow closes them. Big help.

I'm trying to set Opera Mail preference to display all messages in a thread by default, and cannot discover how to do it. The current setting hides all messages in a thread until I go through a cumbersome process of right clicking, scrolling & left clicking. I can't find a dialogue to change it. Any help would be appreciated.
