Getting a bug where trying to open a new Speed Dial window results in an empty window - no tiles and no background. Only solution is to restart Opera.

@indiqazzz: The initial animation I don't like but could live with. The delay caused by the "bounce" when clicking is seriously aggravating. I like my UI snappy and responsive and can't understand how introducing an artificial delay in the UI is seen as an improvement.

"DNA-111322 Only show splash screen on major version update"
I would prefer to have an option to never show the splash screen, but I'll take what I can get.
Thanks!

Found out the reason why the Opera splash plays at every startup for some people and how to disable it.
Opera used to store it's preferences in "[profile_folder]\Preferences" but in a recent update changed the location to "[profile_folder]\Default\Preferences" without removing the old files.
For some reason the existence of "[profile_folder]\Preferences" is still checked and it's absence will cause the splash to be shown at every startup.
Users with newly created profile folders will see the splash every startup and users with "old" profile folders wont.
Just create an empty "Preferences" file in the root of your profile folder and the issue goes away.

@indiqazzz: Delete the "opera_gx_splash.exe" inside the Opera folder... this will work until the next update.
Please Opera, remove this cursed thing or at least give us an option to disable it.

After updating to this version all the favicons in my speed peed dial disappeared and reverted "old" style of page names in multiple colors (not that I'm complaining, I actually prefer this way). Is this a feature or a bug?

When using a dark wallpaper, speed dial names inside a folder are written in white on a white background ie: invisible. Is this a known issue?

I've seen this reported already, but the "Open in workspace" menu is still shown in speed dial entries even if the workspaces feature is disabled. Not the end of the world but it would be more polished if the option was hidden.

@gmiazga: Can confirm. Before disabling opera://flags/#ui-compositor-multithreaded I had very frequent crashes, often while browsing reddit. After disabling the flag I had no more crashes.

I believe I found a bug:
- Open opera://flags#vpn-pro
- Change from Default[E] to Disabled
Trying to open Settings will result in a blank page. Revert the flag from Disabled to Default[E] and Settings opens again.

RE: Opera 84 developerBlogs
Please put back some way to disable the "fast-tab-tooltip".
I browse with a lot of tabs open and the moment the mouse cursor touches the tabs a menu appears covering the entire height of the screen. It then follows the mouse cursor as move it laterally.
This is irritating!

@spike666: I can't access the following sites, unless I bypass the security warning:
They all use a certificate issued by MULTICERT SSL. The page information states the certificate is invalid, but the Certificate Status is "OK" in certificate properties states
