@leocg Sure it is. Always to keep it simple, right? hahaha
Will look into back up options and find a solution.
Thanks a lot for all effort!

@leocg, sure. I thought I could rely on that but I can't. Although I did not erase them, its a risk it did not worth taking. Will try to automate a backup of the files. Do you know if we have an extension that do that or even a website?
@burnout426 I still have the folder in where Opera was installed. It is on a specific drive I do not erase when reinstalling windows. But, it seems that the program does not keep the Bookmarks there hahaha (not sure if I laugh or cry).
And sure, you are completely right. I will never rely on this for my bookmarks backup... maybe because it worked in the past I was full of trust that it would work again. Anyway, lesson learned.
@leocg Hi again! Btw, thanks for you time on the topic.
A sync shouldn't be a back up if it says it keeps the info on my "profile"? surely from now on I will backup manually...apparently I lost too many info to rely on this in the future.
It was enable since I first downloaded Opera, I even had a similar scenario (reinstalled Opera and SO) and it worked perfectly. When I logged in all my bookmarks were perfectly restored.
@valerymartyshko Sync was and is enabled. That's the reason of my frustration. I did not back up the Bookmarks exactly because the login and sync should do its job. I am not sure if this could be caused by a different version installed versus the old one.
@burnout426 No they don't. But it did before I reinstall windows. Do you know if we have a way to check "old info" on our login via Opera website?
@leocg No. All gone! When checking there it shows as if I have never added anything. I am honestly freaking out. Did the sync and account just for that!
@leocg, Hi! Thanks for answering.
You're right. I found the file in AppData>Roaming>Opera Software...
Yes I am logged into sync and was in the earlier installation. But unfortunately there is nothing on Bookmarks page, even the Speed Dial are gone!
I have just reinstalled windows and re downloaded Opera. Even after check that my bookmarks were being synced to my account, Opera is not showing them.
Could someone give me a light? I had a lot of important bookmarks and I cannot find them.
btw:
the old windows is gone.
I cant find the bookmarks folder in appdata (for the new installation)
I am not sure of there is any folder in the past installation (this folder still on my HD)
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Dan
