Thanks, the CTRL+SHIFT+S is exactly what I was looking for and would not have found that shortcut by myself.

RE: Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
I had to watch the YT video several times to get it. I wish I could have played it in slow motion.
That's not your fault obviously you understand how to use your V7 Bookmarks extension very well.I have only encountered one problem with it. I do not like that when closed, the left edge of my screen is not usable. For example I am in the habit of moving my pointer to the left edge of my screen when scrolling. That is just a habit I have.
Anyway I am suggesting that if possible when closed a dark star could be in the area to the right of my Opera address bar. Almost every other extension is positioned in that area.
Because there are people with different skill levels that might not understand that you posted a link to V7 Bookmarks earlier I am going to post a traditional link below.

Yes but it took me a while to find "setting" in the bottom left corner. I have no idea what the bottom right slider that changes color from Red to Blue actually does???

RE: Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
I was trying to say the procedures suggested from my Google search did not work. For example one said open Opera settings then click on import and export - so that one did not work because I could not find import and export anywhere in settings.
I should have been more clear that the "Bookmarks Import & Export" extension works very well.
I wish I could edit that earlier post because I see your point my earlier post is confusing.
If that extension did not work I would not have posted a link to it.
Just to be clear the link below is to an extension that works well.

Was that last post some kind of spam?
(Ha Ha a little joke). You created the "V7 Bookmarks" extension and took your sweet time telling me about it.
I'm an old man and need a nap before I check out your extension. It looks complicated to my old, tired and feeble mind.
The "Bookmarks Import & Export" extension works well, but it only does imports and exports.

RE: Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
I did a Google search on how the export Opera bookmarks in HTML. I found there is an Opera extension "Bookmarks Import & Export".
The ways described in my Google search for earlier versions of Opera do not work in my Opera 36.0
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/bookmarks-import-export/
@davehawley
It would have been smarter to "copy" the bookmarks file to "Documents" then open the copy, save as rich text and rename it. I was lucky that the way I did it, the original bookmarks file was not changed in any way.

RE: Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
Hi Dave,
I opened it with WordPad just because I wanted to see the contents of the Bookmarks file. Then it occurred to me I could save it as a document. Not to reinsert it but just as a backup. Because I used Rich Text the listed URL's are live. That means I can use the Opera Bookmarks document and click on a link and that will open in any browser I set as default. I can also edit the Bookmarks document because there is a lot of text that could be deleted. The live links are pretty much all I need in my document.
I copied the whole Opera folder to my external hard drive. So bookmarks are in there.

RE: Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
Hi Dave,
I did get an email about your comment. I found Bookmarks and opened it with WordPad then saved it in Rich Text (links are shown in blue and are live in rich text). I saved the bookmarks as a document.
I'm working on backing up the whole Opera folder, but I never turned on "file history" in Windows 10 and likely this is not the way to backup the Opera folder.
I know I can "copy the Opera folder" to my external hard drive. But I am very unsure of how to restore or reinsert it when needed.

RE: Very Strange Problem with my Opera BrowserOpera for Windows
I still not sure exactly what the problem was but I cleared cache and cookies. I also restarted my computer. Now I can type and input data into forums. I am using Opera right now to post this comment.
It was a strange problem but everything is fine now.

Very Strange Problem with my Opera BrowserOpera for Windows
I am put in the awkward position of being forced to use my Google Chrome browser to post a question on the Opera Forum.
This has happened to me because I can't TYPE anything into any forums such as Comcast, Microsoft, Norton or Malwarebytes while using Opera. When I try to type nothing appears on the Forums listed. In the Address bar at the top of Opera I can type anything I need. Where it says "Enter Search or Web Address" I can type input. However in the main body of my Opera browser where it says "GOOGLE - Search the Web". I can't type anything, all I see is a flashing cursor.
I have Opera 36.0.2130.48 on my Windows 10 (64-bit) system. My problem only started today.
I did update my Adobe Flash Player using Opera today. I was notified of an emergency update for Adobe Flash Player. In Opera Plugins the new version is listed (Adobe Flash Player 21.0.0.213). Disabling Adobe Flash Player in Opera plugins had no effect on my problem.
I did update directly from Adobe.
I am fairly sure I can uninstall Opera then reinstall it and my problem will go away. However I do not like the idea of losing my bookmarks.

Can I create a file that contains a copy of my Opera bookmarks ?Opera for Windows
I need to do a reset on mt Windows 8.1 computer. I would like to create a file that I can save on my external hard drive. After the reset I will reinstall Opera and hopefully reinsert the bookmarks from my external hard drive.
I am not sure this can be done. Anyone have any suggestions?

RE: Web RTC Block extension not working.Opera for Windows
Yes, Mozilla Firefox users can actually turn off the default WebRTC functionality directly in Firefox settings by typing ‘about:config’ into the search bar and browsing to the ‘media.peerconnection.enabled’ option and setting it to FALSE. I have done this in my Firefox.
With my VPN connected I cut and pasted your link ( https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/ ) in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Chrome. Only Chrome displayed any IP Addresses (2 different IP's for Chrome) all the others showed blank spaces without any IP's listed at all.
On my VPN forum I found this statement - "This doesn't affect OSX or Android users, seemingly just Windows users." Referring to WebRTC leaks. I am not sure about that statement.

RE: Web RTC Block extension not working.Opera for Windows
Hello sagrid,
No question is ever stupid (just some of the answers, like this one). Just to see what would happen I copied your - opera://flags/#disable-webrtc into my Opera address bar. I was taken to an Opera page that said "experiments - careful they can bite" it listed 115 items none were WebRTC.
WebRTC Block very recently stopped working in Google Chrome and Opera browser.
If your Android device can access www.ipleak.net it is a better version of "what is my ip address" and should tell you if WebRTC leaks, at least it does if someone is using a VPN service.
For example if I am connected to my VPN and I use Opera to check www.ipleak.net WITHOUT Opera's NoScript Lite extension the WebRTC leak will be indicated and my true IP Address will be shown.
With NoScript Lite my VPN's IP Address will be shown, my true location and identity will be concealed.

RE: Web RTC Block extension not working.Opera for Windows
Ok now I have NoScript enabled and can post a comment or reply. I needed to whitelist www.forums.opera.com
It is very easy to use, right click on the icon and a plus symbol (+) to add a site to the whitelist.

RE: Web RTC Block extension not working.Opera for Windows
The WebRTC extension recently stopped working in Google Chrome also. I found a Opera extension that does the same thing - "NoScript Lite" blocks WebRTC leaks in Opera 28.0 With my VPN connected Opera passes the test at www.ipleak.net
However, NoScript Lite has some limitation in function. I am still learning how to use it. Even after whitelisting www.opera.com in NoScript Lite - I had to disable it to reply to your post.
Like I said I am still learning to use NoScript Lite.

RE: Unable to use Opera to download from a link.Opera for Windows
Well I just tried downloading with Opera and it is working. Please disregard this post, and I figured out how to use the STAR.

RE: Unable to use Opera to download from a link.Opera for Windows
Did not know I had any replies (no notification trying to correct this) my Opera version is 28.0.1750.48
Downloading any file from Rapidgator, Keep2Share or Datafile. I do not think which file has any meaning because I have not found any file I can download with Opera.
Do you have a file you want me to try downloading?
