@clench Turns out that if I reset back from dark mode, I can once again edit bookmarks. So it's a bug. I did report it early last week. Hopefully the developers will notice and address it. I can't believe I'm the only one so affected.
Thanks ...

@firstlast I have this problem too. From reading down this list I have discovered that switching to light mode restores the bookmarks visibility in the majority of cases. This is a nuisance and I hope it is addressed in the next "update".
Since the last update, I cannot any longer organise / move the bookmarks around as I used to do. I now find that if I use the "Edit" context menu option for any bookmark as I used to, I just get a screen with a vertical list full of greyed-out initial letters and no further options beyond creating a new directory.
I note that I can "drag and drop" bookmarks but only one directory at a time, and if the wanted directory is off the screen it's a lottery whether the screen will follow the drag and scroll to allow selection.
Opera for Android Ver. 71.3.3718.67322. Android Ver. 6.01. Affects both a Google Nexus7 2013 and my P2A42 Lenovo 'phone.
Perhaps a fellow user or someone from the Opera team would care to educate me on the obvious point that I'm missing? Otherwise, how is something as basic as this even possible to recode and get wrong?
