@bug-fix I don't see any problems. Be aware, though, that the version in the Opera addons catalog is outdated since they stopped publishing updates (see my comment above). Please use https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/modern-scroll/ejonaglbdpcfkgbcnidjlnjogfdgbofp instead for the current version.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
Please note that sadly there will be no more updates to modern scroll in the future on Opera addons.
Opera has stopped publishing them for some time now without manual intervention. Version 4.2.7 has been stuck for more than two months now.
Please visit https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/modern-scroll/ejonaglbdpcfkgbcnidjlnjogfdgbofp instead for up to date versions. -
RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@max1c: I installed Opera 106 and modern scroll 4.2.6. It just works. βοΈ I'm sorry, but without any hints as to what exactly might be different on your machine, I can't really help.
Another trouble-shooting step would be doing a clean (portable) install of Opera and checking whether the issue is the same there, too. If not, it might be related to some (potentially sync'd) setting(s). -
RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@max1c Hi there. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. There are thousands of users of the extension and I have never heard about this before. Maybe some other extension interfering? You could try allowing modern scroll in private windows (and disallowing all others) or use a new profile to test this.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@bloort: You're very welcome. Please be aware, though, that Opera isn't updating the extension anymore. Neither 4.2.5 nor 4.2.6 has been published to date (4.2.4 only after manual intervention). So you will probably miss out on future updates. Better use the Chrome Web Store instead.

@howdyimswim Thanks so much @howdyimswim! Trying to do my best over here and it's reassuring to get some appreciation like yours every once in a while for it.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@mich1 true. Unfortunately this is technically impossible to do for an extension. I'd love to have this myself. But there's just no way to do so.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@kevvv: 4.2.2 is live and fixes the issue. Sorry for the trouble. I've been developing this extension for more than 10 years now. Mistakes happen every now and then...

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@fin4l Sorry for that! An update is on its way!
To make it shut up immediately:- open modern scroll's options page
- open a browser console there
- execute
chrome.storage.sync.get({last_dialog_time: 0, dialogs_shown: {}}, s => { s.dialogs_shown[Date.now()] = "#hello_again"; chrome.storage.sync.set(s);});

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@krokigeci I read about this happening for quite some people now. In theory it should show up no more than once every six months (even less under certain conditions). How often do you get the popup? And are you using multiple devices with the extension?

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@mich1 you can right-click the interface and choose to hide it (temporarily or always) in the context menu if it gets in your way.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@maximkoshevoi Unfortunately it's not. I've spent countless hours trying to find any hack / circumvention / whatever. It's simply impossible by design. As soon as an API becomes available you can bet on me adding it though.

@max1c Unfortunately the page is password protected. If you can point me to any page that is freely accessible, I'll gladly take a look.

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@max1c: The catalog is something special. Opera blocks extensions on its own extension store. You'll see it's working in any other browser (Vivaldi or Chrome for example).

RE: modern scrollOpera add-ons
@nownine: Yeah, sorry about that (actually, it's an issue that only YouTube can fix properly, but anyhow), it's fixed in 4.1

@marxitou: I have no idea what you're talking about. Do you have any steps to reproduce this issue?
