Well that's a shame. I much prefer Opera for its features and using it on Win/Ubuntu prompted me to use it on Android. But it seems the Android counterpart isn't quite there yet. Back to Chrome. It just made sense to use it on all platforms because of the sync.

You know I didn't even realise that was even an issue. Now that you mention it, I did some side by side testing with Chrome and Opera and you're exactly right.

Problem: Tapping a link in Opera will sometimes not advance to the page until clicked multiple times. This happens multiple times daily.

Reproduce: Tap a link while browsing a webpage. There isn't a particular page this happens on consistently. My example shows Google results page.

Results: I expect the link tapped will take me to the page, however it does not. I have to tap it multiple times.
