I decided to erase Opera with all the data (I haven't done that in years on my office computer) and do a fresh install of Opera 51 64bit (I had the 32bit version previously).
The connection problem no longer appears.

I've been using Opera at my office (a large network with thousands of users) for many years.
Since version 51, there is a weird problem. After starting the browser, no website can be opened for 10-15 minutes, while Chrome, Firefox, IE and Opera 50 work fine. Opera 51 tries to open the page, but nothing happens. No error message either. After that time, the browsing is normal. I've downgraded and upgraded 3 times, and it's always the same issue.
Since this only happens in my office and not at home, I suppose it has something to do with the network firewall. Could it be that Opera 51 changed it's behaviour after startup that makes the firewall block access? Is there an Opera setting that can prevent this?
Thank you
Sorry, it's actually Ghostery that creates the problem.
After trying a few things, I found that it's the Opera adblocker which creates the problem with the forum menu.
Deactivating it for the site solves it. The Opera adblocker worked fine with the site before.
Since I upgrade from Opera 44 to 45, I can no longer use the arrows to open the drop-down lists (Tools, New Posts, Forums) in the menu bar under the banner on this website:

Same problem on two PCs on different networks, so it's definitely related to the new Opera version.
