It seems to be the default for (almost) all major browsers nowadays. Also it may not be very convenient to see a file opening hours later while you are doing something else, a scenario that can happen if the download runs in a slow connection.

So, Opera and other browsers are trying to regulate stupid??? Very, very frustrating and is why I usually have more than one browser open. If Opera would allow folks to turn ON the feature (versus not allowing it at all), I might be able to stick with just one.

Opera Mail stopped being developed about four years ago.

Wow, that is really sad to hear. Since a product that stopped being developed so long ago still works so well. It just needs a refresh. Is this an official answer from Opera that Mail is dead? Long live Opera Mail!!!

One request I would make would be the option to edit the toolbar

It's something that has been request since a long time. I really don't see it coming soon.

Let's hope that someone reconsiders. I'd hate to have to start searching for another free email application that works as well. Too bad K-9 is a mobile app...
