Certainly agree with that. The linked forum above recommends Vivaldi. I will definitely be checking that out, especially as the are suggesting that they will have linked email and browser again.

Bring back development of Opera MailSuggestions and feature requests
Yeah I know, Opera do not see this as a something worth doing. But in terms of functionality, it is still (unbelievably) one of the best mail clients out there. How great could it be if it were actively developed?
I know there is a lot of ground root support for Opera mail among Opera users and I think it could be an amazing tool.
Please, please, please reconsider your decision to halt development and bring this fantastic piece of software back to life. And please post something to show your support if you would also like to see Opera Mail revitalised.

Speed Dial vs BookmarksOpera for Windows
Hi,
I've been using the speed dial as if it were bookmarks since the book marks went awry (some time ago) in the Opera 12 changeover. I didn't complain because they were a more than adequate replacement and I have come to prefer doing it this way.
Now, bookmarks are being synced across devices (awesome - thank you) but speed dial is not. Is this feature on its way, have I missed something etc? Any info on this would be appreciated as I don't want to spend ages bookmarking and filing my speed dials only to find it was a wasted effort.

RE: What is the current state of Opera Mail?Opera for Windows
Unfortunately I have tried both of those and found them both wanting.
Actually I don't agree with assessment of email but only because I am coming from it as a work tool rather than a personal thing. While I agree that a lot of personal messages are sent via other means, work is almost exclusively carried out via email.
The problem here is the ever present Outlook I would imagine coupled with bespoke clients for some bigger companies.
Interestingly, I would be prepared to pay a reasonable amount of money for a good email client as it isn't something that I would expect to be free.

Why is a shame, because it seems like no one is developing better email software. Which is such a shame as it is something that we all use.

What is the current state of Opera Mail?Opera for Windows
Hi All,
have there been any announcements regarding further development of this excellent programme? As a company, we tried switching to MailBird, which has some excellent & innovative ideas re social media/email integration but switched back because Opera Mail deals with IMAP better and also has a much faster/better search function.
I know email isn't 'sexy' and maybe a little 'old hat' for some but I can't believe that no one is really innovating in this area. Back in the day, Opera Mail was a real eye opener compared to others and hasn't really moved on, which is such a shame as we all use email. Having something modern and integrated would be such an advantage.
For what it is worth, these are some of the things that I would like to see in an email programme...
Integration with Social Media, especially in the area of contacts
Opera Mail phone app that shares contacts etc
More options such as stripping of repeated signatures, multiple placement options for your signature etc
Possibly a live chat function (so I can stop using Skype :D) -

RE: Error message when using Wrike.comOpera for Windows
Performed a reinstall over the top. That fixed the further Opera issues (not being able to switch between tabs) but Wrike still isn't working. I've asked them to have a look. If I get any joy from them I'll let you know.

RE: Error message when using Wrike.comOpera for Windows
I should add that I am seeing further problems with my Opera. Not being able to switch between tabs and not being able to access the menu with the mouse. I'm really beginning to think that there might be something wrong with my Opera installation. Is there any way to reinstall without losing all my settings.
