I did. I then re-started Opera and the problem is still there, for that one website. I did try to access it using Firefox and Chrome, just now, and I can't do it. Same problem.

I did at one point switch on the Opera VPN. What should I be looking for and change?

127.0.0.1 refused to connect.Opera for Windows
Can anyone help me. I was on a site for a few days, everything was fine. However, suddenly, 2 days ago, I got the following error message when I tried to go back to the site.
This site can’t be reached
127.0.0.1 refused to connect.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Check your internet connection.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.Allow Opera to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again. If you use a proxy server…
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Main menu > Settings > Change proxy settings… > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".I do not use a proxy server. My firewall is Zonealarm it was up and running the entire time I was on the site in the couple of weeks before I got the error message.
Every other site I was using at the time, and since is fine. It's just this one site.
Any suggestions as to what I can do?
Thanks.

RE: [Solved]Remove Search engineOpera for Windows
Nope. In the Start Page settings, I can have a search bar, IN the Start Page. I want to remove the one that is right beside the URL box, directly above the page where websites are displayed.
I wish I could insert a screen shot to show you what I mean. Maybe this will make it a little clearer.
First line/bar -> Opera Menu btn, Tabs
2nd Line/bar ->
Back btn, Forward btn, Reload btn, Speed Dial btn URL box[VPN; Page Info; URL] [Search box] {Addons}Main Screen -> Web page displayed
When I, in the Start Page, clicked on the settings button on the top right hand corner, all that allowed me to do was to turn on/off the search bar in the Start Page, directly above the Speed Dials.

[Solved]Remove Search engineOpera for Windows
I am trying to customise Opera. I want to remove the search engine that is between the URL box and my addons.
I can't find any way to remove the search engine box. I have been reading the help files and it says there Settings -> Toolbar, but I cannot for the life of me find that toolbar option in the Settings.Am I doing something wrong, or just looking in the wrong place?
Please help. Thanks.

Import Speed Dial settingsOpera for Linux
I am using Opera on my Windows 10 machine. It's bit of a surprise that I'm still using it, however I find it a very good replacement to FF and it's constant memory problems. I can work around the addons that I have on FF but don't have on Opera. So now that I have my Linux machine up and running I wanted to know if I can export/import the Speed Dial settings/configuration from my Windows 10 machine to my Linux machine, or am I going to have to it all over again, site-by-site, and that's a LOT of sites?

Question about the VPN: Does it works only for Opera or for other browsers too?Opera for Windows
I was wondering if the VPN works only for Opera or if it works for any other browser I use at the same time, like Chrome, Firefox. I am getting to the point where I am using Opera more and more. However I still need to use Firefox (my default) and on occasion, Chrome. So I was wondering if, when I activate the VPN, does that only work with Opera, or does it work for the PC in general, allowing me to use Firefox with the VPN protecting me while I use it as well as when I use Opera.
Thanks
