@lainyx try toggling google search settings "results in new window" on and off. mine is off and it's not even a window that opens, just a tab. been looking for an hour for a solution, couldnt find any. but when i did that, somehow it fixes itself.

basically, you click on your avatar on the google results page (when you search for something), your google pfp on right side. click that. at the bottom, click more settings, then other settings. toggle the thing off then on then off again. see if that does the trick, otherwise i dont remember what i did to fix the thing.
