Error message "Your Preferences files cannot be read Some features may be unavailable and changes to settings won't be saved." versions prior to version 35 were fine but now it does not load setting or my bookmarks or my speed dial?

Yes I completely removed and reinstalled opera 25 also to try a clean install and when I reinstall 24 it updates to 25 via ubuntu updates?

Yesterdays opera 25 update through ubuntu updates is not opening and from time to time causes an error which i can not send as opera is default browser and will not launch.

Ubuntu version is 14.04

All versions 24 and lower have worked and been fine.
