If you do delete the forementioned files all the time, what is the point of storing credentials in the browser for you?

No problems here, installed on many Profiles.

It seems it is not doable in opera. Oddly, chromium can do what you mention and it even uses the same keyboard shortcuts as ff.

The answer is:
run program as
C:\programs\opera\launcher.exe --proxy-server="proxy....:port"
