OK, somethings really bad has happened these last two updates...
I'm following updates closely now and am on the latest 128.0.5807.25

Over these past 3 or 4 updates the behavior has changed and Tabs lag, long wait times and memory consumption is extreme (yes, even for a Chromium based browser)...

I run like 6 "workspaces" and switch between them quite frequently, and each workspace has between 5-25 tabs open, so a total of maybe 120-130 Tabs open.
Previously there's been no, or little "lag" between switching workspaces, but now the workspace icon will shrink, then the page goes blank, and it's switching to the workspace, but then "freezes" for several seconds, sometimes up to 20 seconds before the new tab is loaded properly.
The whole taskbar and tab bar is "frozen" during this time.
Sometimes it switches back to the previous workspace instead of showing the one I clicked on.

I have "Snooze inactive tabs to save memory" on, Opera AI is off, Battery saver off, Mouse gestures off, Early Bird off.

Running on a Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, with 32 GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU 8 GB with Windows 11 (up-to-date).

Opera is eating about 8 GB memory at "standard", when started and "untouched" it goes for around 5 GB, but as soon as I start fiddling around a bit with Tabs and switching it goes up...

I've already tried clearing out all cookies and browsing history, as well as "replacing" the session directory on the HDD (which helped briefly, but after a week or so I'm back to the same issue).

Anyone else?

Seems the issue was that my Windows Opera has lost the passphrase for syncing when I upgraded to version 96 something...
I upgraded to 97.0.4719.43 just now and then the option to type in the passphrase i back and it is now syncing properly!

Not using the GX version, but I've had the same issue in Opera and just got version 97.0.4719.43 where the passphrase option is back again!
Adding my passphrase again has fixed the sync issue!

I run a dual-boot Windows 11 and Ubuntu 20.04 with Opera on both OS's. Sync "everything" is setup and both are logged into the same account.

Bookmarks, etc. are synced just fine between the two, but I can only see "This Computer" under the Tabs section. Neither on Windows, not on Ubuntu I see the other "computer" (as Opera would see them as different computers).

What am I missing here?

@donq Yes, works fine in Firefox and Vivaldi... I'll collect the data/screen captures and open an issue for it!

It would seem that the text I was searching in (AWS Console Cloudwatch logs) is not working with multiple highlights. Other pages do though so this problem is isolated to Cloudwatch logs only it seems...

I am fairly new to Opera and moved over from Vivaldi (which was great, but started to acting up, crashing, etc. so I gave up on it) and one thing I miss is the "highlight all found texts" when searching in a page.

I search a lot of logs in the browser and it's really useful if all found instances are highlighted, and the "active" found text is a bit brighter while all other found instances of the text has a highlight which is a bit dimmer.

Is that some feature planned (or exists?) in Opera, or are there any addons providing the feature?
