A few months have passed. A few new opera versions have been published. Does anyone one if there is a option to disable suggestions from my bookmarks, when type something into the addressbar?

I saw that with firefox it is possible to deactivate this in their standard proerities menu. But I do not want to use firefox, I like opera but I hate how they remove option after option even in their deep down "hidden" configurations.

Does anybody have a solution for this problem yet?
I really can't believe that opera is ignoring privacy issues like that and don't let user configure their browsers anymore.

Thanks for your answer and suggestions. But that wont work for me. It is supposed to be for situations when just somebody switches seats with me for a few minutes or stands behind me and watches how i am typing URLs for some reason.

is there any way to deactivate the feature, that while I type into the adressbar, opera drops down a list with suggestions from from my history and especially fromm my bookmarks? I do not want everybody who just browses at my computer to see immediately which are my favourite sides. In earlier versions there were possibilities via opera:config or opera://flags settings but as far as I can see, these options are not available anymore. I would also download an add one, if necessary

Or is there at least a possibility to have hidden folders in the bookmarks?

The problem seems to be back again, since the option to deactivate opera://flags/#bookmark-suggestions again.

Does anyone know an alternative to deactivate this? I really finde this very annoying and do not understand why opera deletes the option to deactivate it.

@joshl: I actually do not really unerstand, what you mean and why I would benefit from installing Things in /user/AppData?

Isn't there really some kind of makeshift fix to at least exclude the bookmarks from this feature? I'm using Opera since 2003, but this small problem would ruin it for me It's mostly a privacy issue.

It earlier times there was a way to work it out via the opera:config, but there doesn't seem to be something like that in the new opera, right?

I think since the last update there is a feature that gives me suggestions while I type an URL in the adressbar. These suggestions include entries from my bookmarks.I find that really annoying and on the other hand I don't want everybody who just checks a website on my computer to see a few of my bookmarks, just because he types an URL.

Is there away to deactivate this feature?
