Opera shuts down when starting video streams

Using Opera 12.17 on a Windows 7 PC, Opera shuts down every time I start a video stream. Is there a setting that I need to adjust to stop this happening?

Opera 12.17 closes down when video streamed

In Opera 12.17 under Windows 7, the browser closes down whenever a video stream is started. Stays open if the site with video is closed. No changes have been made and has worked OK till today. Does anyone have any clues?
