Hello, sorry for the translation...
first of all, thank you for taking your time to help me.
I have a 2019 iMac. I had Catalina in it. I decided to install Big Sur. What a mistake. Since then, my computer has been rebooting intermittently. The programs I was using to make music don't work anymore, because of an "Audio/MIDI" bug in Big Sur. Anyway, it's not only Microsoft that causes m.... with its updates...
So, phone to Apple. They suggest me to reinstall Big Sur, which I refuse. I opt instead to go back to Catalina, with Time Machine. I follow Apple's instructions, it doesn't work. So, at the end of it all, thinking I was reinstalling Catalina, I reinstall Mojave. And then, the agent told me that I would have to upgrade to Catalina, through System/Updates, which is wrong, because what I'm offered is Big Sur, not Catalina. Nothing worked today, with the 3 Apple agents, who were all wrong.
Opera now. I install Opera, I want to log into my Opera account, to synchronize my bookmarks, but surprise, even after logging in, I see no bookmarks. I thought these bookmarks were stored in some kind of cloud, but it seems not.
So, since I have backups with Time Machine, I was wondering if I could find some kind of "Bookmarks" file, somewhere, in a subfolder of Opera, and I'd just have to put it in the right place, in the folder of the new installation.
I hope you follow me? It seems to me that if I could find my bookmarks (and I have a lot of them), it would put some kind of balm on my wounds, which are raw today!
A big thank you for letting me vent, and for your much appreciated help
Dany
