Devs don't care any more what the users actually want. 15 years ago, they would listen when you gave input, but now that they're rocking a 1.8% market share, they don't have to listen to the people that have supported them through all these years. They do whatever the hell they want, and if you don't like it, so what. Because, really, what's losing 1% of your customers when you already have so many? Why be innovative? Just take away features people liked and replace them with garbage.

It's sound business logic.

I've no problem with auto-updating. In the 20+ years of using computers, I've yet to have an update adversely affect me. Guess I have the magic touch.

Apparently you didn't use the awesome mouse gestures of old that have been nearly completely eradicated.

Downloaded Opera again to check and see if the mouse gestures was fixed. It still hasn't been. This is extremely disappointing. As I have said before, I've had Opera since it was ad-supported. That was back when they used to innovate new features. Now I can't even get the features they used to have. GIVE ME BACK ALL THE MOUSE GESTURES, PLEASE.

I seriously converted so many people to Opera based solely on that one feature, but now we all have moved to Chrome. Uninstalling again. Hopefully they will listen for a change and bring it back.

NOTE: For those who think I don't know there are mouse gestures, I know there are; however, my most-used ones are gone. The open in a new tab, open in a background tab, and tab scroll are all gone.
