LINK GESTURES BACK!Opera for Windows
FINALLY!! I'VE WAITED SO LONG!!!
This is truly a glorious day. How long has it been? 2 years? Something like that. Anyway, I just wanted to FINALLY give a Thank You to the devs. I think 99% of my posts in the past 2 years have been me complaining, because this was the single, solitary thing I could not live without. My home computer has been running Opera 12 for far too long, but when I used the link gestures on Opera on my work computer, I almost cried tears of joy. On top of link gestures, you have the new tab/background tab now implemented, and I cannot express to you how much this means to me. Thank you.
Seriously.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Now keep up the good work. (It feels so good to finally write that.)

Create Opera COM objectOpera for Windows
I'm programming some things and would like to create an Opera COM object. Creating an IE COM object is easy, but IE doesn't quite serve the purpose I need (plus... it's IE). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Devs. Seriously. What are you doing?Opera for Windows
Because I know you're not working hard at making the browser any better. Are there actually any devs for Opera any more? I've posted this same thing for at least a year now....
Over 10 years I've been using Opera. Now it's just the same old, same old. There is literally ZERO reason to choose Opera over any other browser. ZERO. As in NONE.
Good job being underachievers.
Remember when you had pride in your work? Ah, the good ole days.

RE: Opera 16.0 - Mouse GesturesOpera for Windows
Pesala: Thanks!
Do you see a way to customize the browser? For instance moving things around and adding buttons (such as the Closed Tabs button) somewhere?

RE: Opera 16.0 - Mouse GesturesOpera for Windows
And also resizing the tabs at the top is gone. When I use Opera at work, it's extremely beneficial to have the tabs pulled all the way down, so I can see the pages, because multiple pages that do different things have the same page title. AND! I can't pull a tab out and make it a new window. AND! I can't customize my speed dial background.
Who was the genius behind this that thought to destroy all the innovative ideas Opera had? It has less functionality than Chrome or Firefox and even missing some functionality that IE has. This is insane, when it used to have SO MUCH MORE. Seriously, how is this going to help market share?
"Hey, you guys want a browser that's just like the one you use now but worse? Try Opera!" That's a good sales tactic.

RE: Opera 16.0 - Mouse GesturesOpera for Windows
Not only that, but I just now realized that the options of opening in a new tab or a new background tab are gone. Yet another tool that I used VERY frequently is missing. Opera has gutted my favorite browser to make it more like Chrome or IE. It's disgusting. It didn't have a large market share when it was by far the best browser, and now it gives nobody any incentive to switch over by being just the same? That sounds like bad business planning to me.

RE: Opera 16.0 - Mouse GesturesOpera for Windows
I'm bumping this, because this is INFURIATING me. I also have been with Opera since it was ad-supported, before it even invented tabbed browsing, and this was the greatest feature that kept me from ever switching browsers. I just upgraded to 17 from 12, because I needed the Tampermonkey extension, and now I don't have the most useful tool of any browser.
OPERA DEVS PLEASE RETURN THESE GESTURES
