Thanks for the reply but I decided because of this problem, and previous ones, to give Firefox a try. One of the reasons I have stayed with Opera over the years was the Speed Dial, so I tried the Firefox Super Start extension and it works far better than Opera and is much more configurable.

Interestingly I had two other problems, occasional total system crash and the hard drive rattling after 15 mins use, both of which I thought were problems with the computer itself. Since using Firefox no problems what so ever. So sorry to say goodbye to Opera but it has never been the same since the new Speed Dial came out.

Forgot to say if I restart Opera everything works normally.

Recently I had had a quite frequent problem with webpages connecting to the internet, the little circle just keeps going round and round when I click on an item in Speeddial.

Firefox works fine.

Any ideas?

Speed dial doesn't read correctly in 33.0.1990.115. Linux Mint Mate 64 bit.
I had this problem in the previous version and hoped the update would cure it but it hasn't. 31.0.1857 works fine

Have just changed from 31.0.1857 to 33.0.1990.58 and Speed Dial has altered, some sites shows as icons and some show thumbnails of the webpage. The old 31 just used to show thumbnails which I found easier.

Is there a setting somewhere?

Just tried 34.0.2026.0 on Linux mint mate 17.2 64 bit. First time I opened opera everything fine, second time Speeddial completely messed up multiple copies of the speeddial tab and in B&W. Have gone back to 31.0.1857.0

I guess the best thing to do is to enable sync, go to bookmarls > other speed dials anb copy the entries from the "computer's folder" to the speed dial folder.

I tried that but couldn't find any way of copying the folder. Could you kindly talk me through it.

Do you mean I can't move the speed-dial folder between different versions?

I have 31.0 on my main computer, Linux Mint 64 bit and want to move the Speed-dial entries to a laptop with 33.0 also Linux, I have tried copying the Favourites folders but that didn't work.

I also tried Synchronise but couldn't copy across.

How do I do it? Thanks.
