Leaving no option for users to disable DirectWrite is really strange move. DirectWrite doesn't do its work better than old font rendering technique. I do thinking about switching to FF, since it has better fonts.

There was such option in early versions of Opera developer for Linux, yes, when there was only one hardcoded theme - Ambiance. But since some versions, I can't hide "system title bar and borders" on my sexy Kubuntu 14.04 any more.

I guess Opera should have its own theme for title and borders like other Chrome-like browsers for Linux do: http://i.imgur.com/fpORmLM.png
