I've started using Opera a few days ago and I'm quite happy with what I have found.
However I question what is the business model of any software I'm not asked to directly pay for. In case of Opera I guess the business is planning to make money by selling customer profiles, by taking a percentage of music services used through the embedded player, by taking commissions from the embedded crypto wallet transactions, etc.
I understand that given people mentality it's hard to sell a product when similar ones are given "free", and you have to resort to indirect ways to make money.
But I wonder if there is or there will be a way to pay for your work directly hand have a browser that's ad-free?
