How to disable browser nuisance "window.onbeforeunload" event
It's never present when required and appears as real nuisance on other sites, when dialogue pops up "confirm navigation" "leave this page."
Is there any new Opera built in setting to control this behaviour?
Using 3rd party applications to disable this is not a solution.

But I totally disagree - perhaps only 50% downloaded file names can make any sense at the moment when downloading but already a week later there is a puzzle ... but rest names doesn't make any sense.
Luckily there still is "save as" to avoid this.

After MSIE there are also Mozilla and Chrome.
Question is of most common action where Opera 30 has failed:
Download a file and "save as" with name which makes sense
After 10 years usage, I still like Opera browser but only half minded would use Opera download function as it is implemented now.

Actually my posting purpose was to get instructions how to change Opera settings to fix it.
I'll take a look at Blink later .... just now struggling with new Opera again.
When trying to copy to clipboard text from manufacturer's site which also is a link, Opera fails and opens the link.
MSIE11 is capable to provide both - when clicking to text opens link and when dragging over text it's selected and can be copied to clipboard.
It's not to blame Opera,just a real life example, how I must switch to MSIE to complete the task.
And even worse - earlier Opera right mouse click menu offered option "open with MSIE" is now missing and I have to copy address manually. 
I have been using Opera near 10 years.
But latest incarnation are over my understanding.
Being able to save file under name which makes sense is essential.
Even MS accepts this, not speaking of Mozilla and Chrome, why not Opera?
Another cucumber is Opera favourites - I'm not able to save URL to any Bookmark/Favourites subfolder - usually new bookmark just lands in unsorted area. There is not any functional browse under hear icon, right of address bar.
It looks like new Opera interface is designed a la Windows 8, to be something it isn't for healthy mind.
After near 10 years with Opera I can still play around for a while hoping to understand what is going one but not forever.

Actually Opera is very uncomfortable then. Downloading 10-15 driver files, 3-4 at a time, doesn't leave much time to trace what is what, as file numbers doesn't describe a content.
Max points here to MSIE11 and Opera zero points.
For power user there is no choice - using MSIE I can complete task in 1/3 time and without paper and pencil 
PS. most sites use same download obfuscation ... not only HP.
When downloading computer drivers from HP site, there is no option to rename downloaded file.
Using MSIE11 there is no problem to choose "save as" and rename file before downloading.

PC has been running since Dec 13, 2014 without restart. Opera has only one profile and any cache hasn't been cleared AFAIK.

Opera 26 History last month content is missing. There is only 4 days of present month under History Last Month option.
Is there any other way how to view recover history of visited sites?
I need sites visited 2 weeks ago.
But that doesn't explain why Opera sessions loose LAN connection after running for 20 minutes.
This flaw has got worse today, sessions loose connectivity after 5 minutes and Opera in fact is not usable.
Therefore I have forced to MSIE now.
When I opene several tabs (10 perhaps) then after some time these loose connection (10-100 minutes perhaps) and when trying to refresh page it's going to be blanc with no error message, while there is rotating ring on tab.
When I open a new tab I can access the same site normally ... for some time only of course. In task manager I see many opera instances running. Looks like tabs are grouped under separate processes and processes just hang.
When I close Opera and there is not single Opera.exe running and open Opera again with previous tabs, these pages sometimes are working but most often doesn't still display any content. Most famous sites under question are Amazon. com, Am. UK, Ebay.com, Ebay K but also many others.
Opera 22, Win XP SP3, 2GB RAM no other applications running.
Any ideas how to fix it?

While Opera offers a lot user interface comfort (mouse gestures and keyboard short-cuts) I wonder is there a keyboard short-cut to go to next numbered page ... as it's common in search results like like Google, Ebay or any portal listing results on numbered pages.
I guess it should be possible but I just can't find this keyboard function.

Opera version 12 - Because after version upgrade (13 or 14?) file download failed and I had to downgrade after 2-3 days. Latest version 19 I have on other PC but this doesn't feel comfortable after 10 years Opera practise.
Again similar problem. The site can't be accessed with Opera 19 while Opera 12, MSIE and Chrome doesn't have any problem opening it.

There are 12 more open Opera tabs of other sites which can be opened and refreshed normally.
Today, next day when returning to this PC, which has been running for 22 hours unattended, the Opera internet access is fine again without any restarts. Just out of the blue all previously opened tabs, which since yesterday displayed "Unable to connect to the proxy server" can be now F5 refreshed to normal content again.
In between no one hasn't touched password protected PC and MSIE and Chroma didn't have any problems yesterday.
Therefore I believe it's Opera 19 bug or something.
Anyway I don't feel comfortable with Opera 19 version. It's difficult to get used with missing key shortcuts and etc.

Just out of the blue Opera 19.0 stopped accessing most sites with error "Unable to connect to the proxy server".
I was just reading text on URL, clicked to the link in text and got this error "Unable to connect to the proxy server",
After that previously open tabs also couldn't refresh content and result is same proxy error.
Known sites still accessible are Google.com, gmail.com and my local ISP webmail portal. But any Google search result is not accessible with Opera.
In fact there is no Proxy configured for any browser
But MSIE and Chrome still doesn't have any problem accessing all sites.
Cmd pinging URL or ISP works normally
I did several restart - to Opera, PC and to router, but no remedy

Where is Opera 18 undo (ctrl+Z) enable control?
When I close wrong tab I can't reopen it easily as in earlier Opera versions.
I have used with Opera 12 and this supports a full (ctrl+z) control of re opening closed tabs.
It often happens to me that I close a tab and few minutes later there comes an idea and I need to reopen URL.
And sometimes also a previous page (way back) is required.
Closing wrong tab may happen also accidentally.
History doesn't replace ctrl+z function -
1. History doesn't provide go to previous page (instead goes back to history)
2. When I can't find the page in history, I guess that history is sorted by URL opening time, which may be many days earlier

The problem is that ctrl+link opens in new tab but Tab is not active, same with mouse gesture.
