Here's the solution: open "opera://flags" and disable "Shared Start Page".

But there's another minor bug: new tab lose focus in favor of previous one, the author said it will be fixed in v. 25.1

Custom New Tab Page and New Tab Start Page stopped working in the latest Opera (65.0.3467.62). Can anyone confirm this? Any workaround?

Opera for WindowsRE: Opera Turbo doesn't work with Kaspersky 2016-2017 installed
You can add Opera to KIS trusted applications (Threats and Exclusions —> Specify trusted applications) and Turbo mode should work fine. Tested on KIS 17.0.0.611 and Opera 39.
