Vertical tabs would be interesting. And maybe (optional) automatic tab grouping.
The lack of vertical tabs is the only reason I still use Opera 12.16. Please give use vertical tabs (and tab stacking!)

Since Opera doesn't seem to be interested in customising the GUI to allow vertical tab bar placement on left or right side, we need an alternative. The reason I'd like the tab bar placed on the right hand side of the window is because I often have too many tabs to easily pick the one I want from a horizontal tab bar. An alternative solution would be a mouse gesture and keyboard short cut that exposed all the tabs similar to Mac OS X' Mission Control.
Can you please start customising the GUI to make new Opera more usable?
