@hubga I lost 600 tabs btw, I thought they had been saved

Hi everyone,

I recently deleted the Opera app from my phone, but before doing so, I made sure that Opera Sync was enabled and that my open tabs were supposedly backed up to the cloud. I reinstalled Opera on the same device, signed into my account, and enabled Sync again.

However, after signing back in, I noticed that my open tabs were missing, even though I could see my device listed in the Sync dashboard. There are no tabs listed under the device, just the device name.

I think what happened is that Opera recognized the device (since it's the same one), and when I re-synced with no tabs open, it overwrote the previously saved session — effectively syncing an empty state and wiping the cloud-stored tabs.

I checked sync.opera.com and only see my current (empty) session. I didn’t log into Opera from any other device, so there are no alternate sources to pull the old tabs from.

Is there any way to recover my previous open tabs? Or is it safe to say they’re gone for good?

Appreciate any advice — especially if there's a way to retrieve this data through history, cache, or any kind of backup I might have overlooked.

I'm looking for a way to backup my open tabs in Opera Mobile. Since Opera Mobile doesn’t offer a native export feature for open tabs and relies on sync—which only seems to remove open tabs of devices that aren't active.

I've noticed that Opera’s sync system only updates the workspace I'm actively working on. The rest of my workspaces—where I keep different sets of tabs for various projects—aren't getting synced. This means that when I log into Opera on another device, I only see the tabs from the active workspace, and all my other workspaces are missing. It disrupts my workflow because I rely on having all my workspaces available across devices. Has anyone found a way around this, or is this just how Opera's sync is designed to work?

I recently lost my phone, and I noticed something odd with Opera Sync. Initially, when I checked my Opera Sync account, almost all of the open tabs from my phone were visible. However, now there aren’t any open tabs listed for that device anymore.

I lost upwards to 1000 tabs plus, i tried to export my mobile data prior to when i lost my phone but there wasn't any functionality available so i trusted that opera will save it for me.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there any way to recover those tabs or a workaround to preserve them in the future? I’d appreciate any advice or tips you might have.

@leocg I see thanks I found it. But do have to open them one by one on my own?? Isn't there a way to automate the process?

I reinstalled opera mobile and am wonder how do i recover my tabs that I had, they were about 500?
