Yeah, we removed the SD search from the Start Page. You can still search your Speed Dials through the Bookmarks.

As for the issue with browser closing - this is weird. If there is only one Opera window - we are not allowing to close the last tab there, in fact there shouldn't even be a button to close the last tab on the last window.

After I restarted the system (virtual W10 64-bit), the installer appears signed.
However the installed application (installed for the current user only) is not signed.

Whoops.
Installers are signed, but due to some bug in signing script files inside aren't. Thanks for spotting that and sorry for inconvenience. This should be fixed before next developer release.

Hi, we deployed browserjs patch for Gmail. It is online. Make sure that after visiting http://www.opera.com/docs/browserjs/ it states the following:

Current browser.js status: enabled.
Target version and time stamp of the active browser.js file is Opera OPRDesktop 28.0 core 1750.0, February 8, 2016. Active patches: 24 .

If not, restart your browser, it should download the patch shortly after restart.
We also are in touch with Gmail team, so they can fix it on their side.

Hi, I contacted their support today. It seems that their web app doesn't recognize the UA strings from beta and developer streams. Workaround: you can change it to the one from the final version of Opera, which is working properly.

That's what I saw in the logs you sent me. And it was a value picked from registry so I have to assume that you previously installed Opera there.

Anyway If you pin the launcher.exe it should be able to pick the version from the installation directory without any problems and shortuct will work.

Hi, to help you I will need some information from you.

1. Which type of installation have you chosen in the installer? (All users/Single user)
2. Did you create the shortcut/pinned Opera by yourself or was it one created by the installer?
3. What kind of installer did you use (full installer/network installer)
4. Could you send me the log from the installer? The are located C:\Users<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Temp\Opera Installer
   There are usually three .log text files for each installation. Please send them to me: mmitek@opera.com
   There is no private data there, just in case you wondered
