I agree this would be useful especially on small screens.
Browsers like yandex or edge (or Chrome on ChromeOS) have an option to autohide the toolbar at the top. You move your mouse to the top to make the toolbar appear.

Speed Dial icon shortcut on launcher home screenOpera for Android
I'd like to be able to add an icon on the home screen of my phone that opens Opera for Android directly to a new tab with my Speed Dials showing.
I'd like to be able keep older tabs open for when I want to go back to them AND have a way to go straight to a new tab when I want to quickly look something up. Something very similar to the google search box.
I use Nova Launcher on Android 7.1. Opera 47.
It's easy to do with a regular web page thanks to the "add to home screen" button in the page menu but I am not able to find a way to do it with the speed dial page ...
Thanks
FYI : that request was already posted a couple of years ago : https://forums.opera.com/topic/13560/launch-directly-to-speed-dial-page

RE: full screen browsingOpera for Android
Hi linuxmint7
I am with Opera Mini 7.5.35613 on an android 4.2 galaxy mega. I can hide the status bar but not the opera-mini menu-bar/address bar ( https://forums.opera.com/topic/261/is-full-screen-opera-mini-on-android-4-2-possible ). Could you explain how you could hide the opera-mini menu-bar/address bar please ?
Thanks !

is full screen opera mini on android 4.2 possible ?Opera Mini
options to hide navigation bar and status bar seem to have disappeared on android 4.2 (using a french android 4.2 Samsung Galaxy Mega phone with opera mini 7+ ( I tried opera mini 7 and opera mini 7.5))
these options are here using opera mini 7.5 on an english android 2.3 Samsung Galaxy S2 phone with opera mini 7.5
I see in http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1533402&t=1386408054&page=2#comment13628912
that some people were able to use old versions of opera mini ( 5.1.22460 ) to get the original full screen behaviour back on some Android 4.1 phones (Samsung Galaxy Note 2).
Unfortunately Opera Mini 5.1.22460 doesn't seem to work on my android 4.2 Samsung Galaxy Mega (only versions >= 7 seem to work)Has anybody succeeded in getting full screen opera mini on android 4.2 ??
Thanks for any feedback !
