      I'll keep it simple:

When I open some PDFs in Opera, they are fine. When I open others, the text of said PDF doesn't display.

It's strange because if I open them in Chrome, I can see them fine.

Anyone running into the same issue, or have a fix?

Open up your plugins page (opera://plugins/) and see how many PDF plugins you have. If it is more than one try disabling one of them. The default one Opera uses is 'Chrome PDF Viewer'. If that doesn't fix it then try disabling the first and enabling the other, etc.

afaik this is a known issue that sometimes occurs with the built in pdf plugin, I recall seeing some comments about it on the desktop team blog, I believe the developers are aware of it.

I never see this issue on my home computers but I did run into it for the first time on my work pc the other day, I was able to workaround the issue on that computer by installing the pdf.js extension as an alternative built in pdf reader (https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/pdf-viewer/) Just install it and it should replace the default pdf reader.

Strangely enough, I disabled the same plugin on Chrome and haven't ran into the issue since.
