On Opera 29 is not possible to configure a program to be used to open particoular file extensions

on Opera 28 I was using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to open .pdf files, now I can't configure Opera 29

as to open .pdf files whit my preferred program, Opera 29 uses a dedicated feature to open .pdf files,

I don't like this much but so it is ......

What I'm not able to understand is because if I open a .pdf file on Opera 29 and when it is open

I look to it and I decide to save it on my PC there isn't a save option but only a download and save option

this thing, with very large .pdf files, like books, forces to wait some time (sometime a long time) to

perform the new download of the file instead to save the copy that is already open on my PC

don't you think that this way of doing is a waste of time, resources and at the end a stupid way to do things ?

      K

Open your plug-ins page and disable the .pdf plug-ins. It will now download the .pdf like any other file.

I use and recommend http://download.cnet.com/PDF-XChange-Viewer/3000-10743_4-10598377.html for all my PDF viewing needs. It installed itself to the Opera Plug-ins but was inactive until I manually activated it and de-activated the Chrome PDF Viewer. The window in Opera is exactly like that in Windows, with all the options up and ready.
