weird things with 29

    1. when I do sign on to the forum the screen (I see now has just squares where the commands should be)
I hope the commands work - will soon find out!)

    2. Update in "about" keeps stopping and saying it has an error?

    3. had small icons on the start page but now they have been changed to large icons which are useless - No matter what I do in settings I cant get them back

Anyone else seen any of this?

    Pete

  • when I do sign on to the forum the screen (I see now has just squares where the commands should be) I hope the commands work - will soon find out!)

Please elaborate and clarify that, I don't understand.

had small icons on the start page but now they have been changed to large icons which are useless - No matter what I do in settings I cant get them back

Yeah, they have updated speed dial (start page). For now, you can disable the flag: opera://flags/#experimental-start-page

  • I have a screen dump of the screen which I made into a word document but as the text in all the commands etc are just little squares cant upload it because I cant see the buttons anymore

Your comment about them screwing up speed dial will try to type in the command you gave into the browser to see if I can get back to where I was

    Interesting stuff

(Now to find the send button)

  • still suffering from this

Guessing at what the buttons mean

Can only post simple messages - why am I just seeing little squares everywhere - was OK before?

  • Just noticed the squares appear only after I have signed in

Not re-set anything so dont know why

As I cant read any buttons (each character is a small square) cant check anything

General use of Opera - everything seems OK?

    Help needed

    pete

  • Still got problem

Noticed that even when I am not logged in one or two (not all) of the language options are also empty small squares instead of text?

    ??????

  • That means your Windows system does not have the required fonts installed to display that text.
