Opera 28 and Youtube

Hi. I noticed, that 1080p in YouTube not available to me in Opera, but available in Chrome. I use html5 player in both browsers (Hardware acceleration disabled). Can someone explain this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Some videos on YouTube have their high resolution versions encoded with a set of codecs Opera 28 does not support out of the box. You have to have them installed on your outside of Opera, but not en another web browsers like Chrome (because they are embedded in Chrome and not accessible outside of it). That said, the in development versions of Opera do support this feature, so its coming to the sable release very soon.
