Virus scan of .torrent file conflicts with qBittorrent

Steps to reproduce:

1. Set up qBittorrent to automatically add torrents from a certain folder.
2. Use Opera to download a .torrent file to that folder.

What happens:

qBittorrent adds the torrent and deletes the .torrent file as expected.

But Opera appears red in task bar, and the download list shows "interrupted: virus scan failed" under the file.

What should happen:

The virus scan should complete before qBittorrent or any other program in a similar situation is allowed to access the file.

Suggested solution:

Downloads are named .opdownload while loading. Keep this extension for the virus scan.

Which version of Opera does this happen in?

Both the latest stable 28.0.1750.51 and developer 30.0.1835.5. qBittorrent v3.1.12.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials under Windows 7, if that is relevant.
