I wonder whether a 64-bit version of Opera 19 is available for Windows. If such a version is available, what's the URL for the download?

Nope, there is no 64bit version of the Blink version of Opera (15+).

Not even sure if there ever will be.

Actually, Chromium which is what Opera is built on and that incorporates Blink IS available as 64-bit-version, but neither Chrome nor Opera are shipping it so far.

Opera for 64-bit runs just fine. There is, however, absolutely no need for it. 64-bit browsers are slightly slower than their 32-bit counterparts and there are no advantages to using one.

Were they introduced in the first place because of nagging, or was there ever a real benefit?

Well, I guess the initial idea was to have a speed increase and the possibility to use 64-bit as well as 32-bit plugins. However, it obviously doesn't seem to work out...
