Not all bookmarked folders copied to Speed Dial page

I have imported a lot of bookmarks from another browser. Scrolling through them, I see them nested within sub-folders in the My Folders category. When I right click on them, I select add to Speed Dial option. Sometimes, the entire folder is added (desired behavior), but other times, all that is added is the folder as well as one or two bookmarks, when 10-20 should have been copied over.
Suggestions?
